RULES FOR THE SAVINGS BANK OF CHINESE IN FRANCE.
1.
Chinese who wish to do shall be allowed to open Savings
Bank Accounts, and will be furnished with Army Book W.................
(Savings Bank Book, Chinese Labour Corps). The book will
contain the necessary particulars, the thumb prints and
registered number of the depositor, and the names of two
legntees as explained in para. 2. It will be the absolute
property of the depositor, and his savings cannot be touched
for misconduct.
2. Each depositor, when opening a Banking Account, will`
nominate two legatees in writing, in A.B. W..

full names and addresses of same in China. The order of
priority of these leestees to receive the depositor's savings,
in the event of the death of the latter before his return to
the port of disembarkation in China, will sleo be recorded.
The se leratees must be persons resident in Chine
on the date of the Banking Account being opened, and be in such
circumstances at it is reasonable to presume will enable them
to receive the depositor's savings during the currency of the
depositor's contract, in the event of the depositor's death.

3. The deposits will be made in multiples of 5 francs only.
The rate of conversion of the Franc at the port of
disembarkation in China, will be the official rate current
at the time.

usually on the ord, 4th or 5th of the month. On any con- venient day or days after pay day, or on pay day, the Company Commander, or the officer who has power to act for him, will
transact Banking business.
When a labourer wishes to open a Jankine Account, is given a Bank Book (A.B. .) in which deposite will be entered. Each entry in the book will be signed by the
Officer receiving the deposit.
A clerk will record the
transaction simultaneously on a "Deposit Roll" (A.F..
